Adah Sharma will play the title role in the May 5 release of The Kerala Story. The movie, which was produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and directed by Sudipto Sen, courted controversy with its allegation that 32,000 women from Kerala were supposedly forced into conversion and recruited by the militant group ISIS. The movie’s trailer begins, with “Shalini Unnikrishnan, a Hindu from Kerala,” and features a joyful, carefree Adah Sharma in the title role. The following image depicts her being held hostage by two ISIS members who are dressed in uniform and have guns. The teaser also depicts some Muslim men encouraging others to date women so they can take advantage of them. Additionally, it depicts Adah Sharma’s religious conversion, marriage, and trafficking to Pakistan. Additionally, it depicts Muslim women being beaten, chained, and tortured.
The Kerala Story – Teaser
The movie’s teaser, which was released on November 2 of last year, promised to reveal the circumstances surrounding the “missing” of 32,000 women in the state of Kerala. Adah Sharma said in the teaser, “A dangerous game is on in Kerala to turn ordinary girls into dangerous terrorists, and that too in front of everyone’s eyes.” Later, Alt News discovered that the filmmaker Sudipto Sen had misquoted two former Kerala chief ministers, Oommen Chandy, and VS Achuthanandan, in an effort to lend credence to his assessment of the situation in Kerala.
Days after the teaser’s release, a Tamil Nadu journalist petitioned the Kerala Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), asking the Board to ban the movie unless the director, Sudipto Sen, and the producer, Vipul Amrutal Shah, provided documentation attesting to the accuracy of the information in the teaser.
Additionally, the teaser received criticism from a variety of sources, including Congress leader VD Satheesan, who called for the film’s suspension for propagating false information.

Conclusion
Kerala has a stronghold of radical Islam. The sheer number of recruiting, conversion, and radicalization institutes in operation is still far from drawing the national media’s focus to the problem. But there is no denying that it is a very serious issue. Using women as tools and weapons, whether through sex slavery or recruitment for terrorism, is no longer a taboo in the post-ISIS world. The state and federal governments must treat it seriously and come up with workable measures to address the issue. There is optimism that this important subject will become more prominent now that the movie “The Kerala Story” is ready to be released.
