The concert movie, which will be released in theaters next month, was filmed over three nights at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
The good news is that you can catch up next month when the Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour concert film debuts in every AMC Theatre in the United States, Mexico, and Canada on October 13. If you missed out on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour during the record-breaking 52-date U.S. run, you can watch it online.

On Thursday morning (August 31), Swift enthusiastically revealed the two-hour and forty-five-minute movie on her social media accounts. She shared an 80-second preview and wrote, “The Eras Tour has been the most important, exhilarating experience of my life so far and I’m happy to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon. Starting Oct 13th you’ll be able to experience the concert film in theaters throughout North America!”
How did Swift manage to film and promote the documentary in the midst of the ongoing Hollywood writers’ and actors’ strike, aside from “How many times are you going to see it?” was the immediate question, though.
To cover specific non-AMPTP (Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers) productions that adhere to the same criteria as those the unions are requesting in their negotiations with the studios, SAG-AFTRA has, nonetheless, reached an interim agreement. Billboard was informed on Thursday by a source close to the Swift movie that the Eras documentary had received authorization under that arrangement prior to filming. Billboard has also confirmed that the Swift movie is listed on the list of permitted projects under an assumed name for the interim arrangement.

After some fans accused her of violating the SAG-AFTRA guidelines for promotion during the strike, Selena Gomez appeared to remove a picture of her Hulu series Only Murders in the Building earlier this week. Members are forbidden by union rules from announcing new or completed works in interviews, on social media, or on red carpets while they are on strike. Billboard has confirmed that there are no limitations on the singer’s promotion of the project because the Swift movie is covered under the interim agreement and her post promoting it does not violate any strike guidelines.
When Troye Sivan recently spoke with Billboard, he was eager to promote his new single, “Rush,” but he was unable to talk about his work on the recently canceled HBO drama The Idol, which had finished its run weeks earlier. This is an example of how the strike has affected another musician who also has a foot in Hollywood. Sivan stated, “I am in total support of the strike and am holding strong with everyone in waiting it out and making sure that everyone gets treated fairly,” adding that he also couldn’t speak about his future leading role in the upcoming coming-of-age thriller Three Months.
How much are Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour concert movie tickets?
On Thursday, tickets for the movie went on sale for $19.89 (plus tax) for adults and $13.13 (plus tax) for children and seniors. However, this excludes the premium large-format screens with the AMC logo.
According to a press release from AMC Theatres, “TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR concert film will be available in IMAX at AMC and Dolby Cinema at AMC as well as at AMC’s other branded premium large format screens for their standard upcharges.”
